Just got your comment regarding KLM. They did not weigh Raoul however, when I went to make the reservation, the woman said the weight limit was 4.5 kilos! Northwest allows more but since the plane was operated by KLM they went by their regulations. Having said all this, no one weighed Raoul and the flight attendant was so nice, she turned her eye when she saw me with Raoul completely out of the bag in the seat next to me sleeping. I just had him covered with a blanket. I think it really depends who the flight attendant is. I usually take him out and wait for them to tell me to put him back in his bag. Good luck.
